Downtown Clermont is steps away from one of the most active areas of Florida.  With year round endurance participant events and miles of lakes and trails, there's enough to satisfy any active person's need for outdoor space to go explore and learn.


Victory Pointe

Take in a sunset or sunrise at this beautiful passive park.  This storm water drainage project serves to help to clean the nearby lakes.  Educational signs around the park tell visitors about the storm water treatment system, how it functions and the long-term benefits to the environment.

The South Lake Trail

Walk, ride a bike, or run on this 10 foot wide, paved trail all the way into Downtown Clermont.  Soon to stretch across the entire state, getting to downtown by human power has never been easier!

parkrun Clermont

This FREE 5k takes place each Saturday on the South Lake Trail. An average of 120 runners and walkers from the community and abroad start and finish at Lake Hiawatha Preserve.


Lake Hiawatha Preserve

Just 1.5 miles from Downtown Clermont, this 220 acre park has a lot to do.  Two dog parks, kid's play area, shaded soft surface running trail, a frisbee golf course, and picnic pavillion.

This home of the Lake County Rowing Association. Clinics, camps, regattas, and visiting rowing teams utilize this beautiful facility that is just west of Victory Pointe.

Clermont Historic Village

The South Lake Historical Society preserves and operates the village that is full of rich history of the area. They cover the history from the eighteen hundreds to the end of World War II. The Society is a great partner of the CDP.
